Absolute fireplaces

Our range includes the Charnwood, Invincible and Horsflame Firplaces. They are all closed door, multi-fuel, slow-combustion fireplaces. Charnwood stoves are imported from Britain while the Invincible range is imported from China . The products in all the ranges are well manufactured and durable; the casing is guaranteed for 10 years under normal operating conditions.

The fireplace company is also importers of fine quality, well priced fire side tool sets, fire screens, wood scuttles and coal buckets. Our gas grates, log holders and log holder trolleys are manufactured locally.

In addition to the above, we also supply a full range of stainless steel and galvinized flues, ceiling plates, end cap insulated flues, plain insulated flues, turbo cowls and chinese hats.

CLOSED COMBUSTION FIREPLACES:

With South Africa’s electricity in shocking low supply and extremely high prices, interest rates rising and winters
getting colder, it is a good idea to consider the beautiful yet cost effective slow combustion system for your home.

As a ballpark, 1 kW will heat 8 m˛ in a single story space. Therefore, to get the number of kW required for
your home, divide the floor space by 8

Fuel options include wood, coal and  anthracite.

Coal, anthracite and wood offer the cheapest running costs (between 16c-25c per kW/hr). Electricity is double the cost (47c per
kW/hr), while gas can be ten times the cost (R2.80 per kW/hr).

Wood and anthracite are the most affordable fuels, and it should be noted that wood is preferable from an environmental standpoint and offers the cleanest burn.

While open fireplaces offer a captivating ambiance created by the crackling sound of wood,

the closed combustion wood-burning fireplaces offer distinct performance, safety,convenience and cost
advantages over traditional open fireplaces

Closed combustion fireplaces offer at least 3 times the  the heat output of an open fireplace.

The Exposed flue, also contributes to a beautiful look and a radiates substantial heat.

Closed combustion fireplaces use ⅓ of the wood used by an open fireplace.
Controlling the amount of air that enters the fireplace enables the wood to burn longer, which reduces
your heating costs and the inconvenience of reloading your fireplace.

Most closed combustion fireplaces have a large glass door, providing an optimal view of
the fire while containing sparks and smoke.

While the purchase price might be higher, the running costs of closed combustion fireplaces
are significantly lower than open fireplaces because wood is one of the cheapest fuels.
